Sigiriya

Sigiriya is an ancient rock fortress located in the northern Matale District near the town of Dambulla. The site is dominated by a massive column of rock nearly 200 metres high. Ancient ruins of a palace and fortress complex sit on top of this rock, which also features beautiful frescoes and the famous Mirror Wall. A UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Sri Lanka's most iconic landmarks.
